Mixed Results on Testosterone Therapy for Men
A recent article on webMD.com stated that testosterone therapy doesn’t seem to have that much of an effect on men’s sex lives. In a study conducted by Dr. Shalender Bhasin at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, results showed that men who were given testosterone supplements showed no real gain in sexual function or quality of life over those given a placebo. The results called into question the benefits of testosterone therapy in general. One doctor wondered whether it was worth going on the drug if it doesn’t necessarily make one feel better especially given the potential for risks associated with testosterone therapy.
