Sony Alters “Concussion” Film to Avoid Antagonizing NFL
A recent article in the New York Times reported that in emails recovered by hackers, Sony executives and representatives for Will Smith, the star of the movie, discussed how to avoid upsetting the NFL by altering the storyline of the film. The emails show that neither Smith’s representatives nor the Sony executives wanted the movie to appear to attack the NFL on the concussion issue. However the parts of the film that have been changed were not made known in the emails.
