“60 Minutes” Report Finds High Levels of Carcinogen in Laminate Flooring
A report done by “60 Minutes” showed that laminate flooring sold by Lumber Liquidators contained high levels of formaldehyde which is known to cause cancer. The formaldehyde is in the glues that bind the wood particles together to make the floor boards. “60 Minutes” performed tests on random samples of flooring sold by Lumber Liquidators and found levels of formaldehyde well above those considered safe by U.S. emission standards.
